Gates Chili alumni honored at Day of Champions Dinner

Two Gates Chili alumni were honored at the Rochester Press-Radio Club’s 70th Annual Day of Champions Dinner on April 3.

Former Gates Chili basketball standout, newly-drafted to the Minnesota Lynx, Cierra Dillard (’14) received the Amateur Athlete Award presented by Executive Director of the Joseph A. Floreano Riverside Convention Center Jim Brown. Patrick Staley (’15) served as Honorary Chair of the dinner, representing Roberts Wesleyan College. The dinner was headlined by record-setting Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes received the Coca-Cola Sports Personality of the Year Award.
The Rochester Press-Radio Club has been supporting Rochester-area children’s charities since 1949.
